Perishke are one of my favorite dishes from my upbringing in a Polish/Ukranian family. In case you are unfamiliar with them, Perishke are delicious little buns made with a sweet dough and stuffed with a cottage cheese filling.
Although they are great right out of the oven, they are best when baked in a cream sauce, and then dipped in sour cream.
They freeze beautifully as well - just pop the cooled Perishke into airtight containers or bags and heat them up for a family dinner or a quick lunch.
Below is a video of me making Perishke as well as a printable recipe.
Fun fact - there are many spellings of "Perishke" including Piroshki, Pyrizhky, Pirozhki, Pirazhki, Piroška, Perishki, Perisky and Pedishke.
